The Jubbaland State Government has highly commended the Jubbaland Security Forces and the elite Danab Commandos for a decisive joint operation that dealt a heavy blow to extremist militants hiding in the Kudhaa area of Badhaadhe District, Lower Juba region.
According to an official government statement, the coordinated operation was launched after militants attempted to regroup and threaten stability in the area. In a carefully planned security sweep that lasted less than 24 hours, the forces successfully dismantled the militant network, thwarting their plans and restoring calm to the community.
Security officials confirmed that at least 59 militants were neutralized during the operation, while a significant cache of weapons was seized, including 42 AK‑47 rifles, 10 PKM machine guns, and other military equipment. The forces also prevented militants from fleeing with arms and supplies intended for further attacks.
The operation is described as one of the most significant security successes in recent months, severely crippling the militants’ operational and financial capabilities in the region. Authorities stated that the group suffered a strategic setback that will take considerable time to recover from.
The Jubbaland Government extended praise to the bravery and professionalism of the security forces, praying for the safety and strength of the national heroes who continue to defend the country. Officials reaffirmed that similar operations will persist until all remaining threats to public safety are eliminated.
In addition, appreciation was extended to local communities for their cooperation and vigilance, which authorities noted played a crucial role in the success of the operation. The government urged citizens to continue collaborating with security agencies to safeguard peace and stability across Jubbaland.
