Jubbaland State President Officially Opens State-of-the-Art Jubbaland Security and Intelligence Headquarters in Kismayo

The President of Jubbaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today officially inaugurated the newly constructed Central Headquarters of the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency (JISA) in Kismayo.

The grand opening ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the Minister of Internal Security, Yusuf Hussein Osman, JISA Director General, Mohamed Ahmed Sabriye and the Commander of the Jubaland Darwish Forces, General Ismail Sahardid.

President Ahmed toured the various sections of the modern facility, which was built using public funds sourced from Jubbaland taxpayers. The project stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to transparency, self-reliance and the efficient use of domestic resources.

In his remarks, the President praised the tireless efforts of JISA personnel, who work around the clock to safeguard the region’s peace and stability. He emphasized that JISA has become one of the most effective and professional intelligence agencies in the Horn of Africa.

“This institution reflects the visible progress and reform that our people have long awaited,” said President Ahmed. “JISA has evolved into a cornerstone of our security architecture, thanks to years of dedicated development.”

The President also extended special appreciation to the leadership of the agency, particularly Director General Mohamed Ahmed Sabriye, commending his integrity, unity-driven leadership, and unwavering dedication that has propelled JISA to fulfill its critical mandate.
