Jubbaland Ministry of Health Launches Leadership and Management Training in Kismayo

The Ministry of Health and Social Care of Jubaland, in collaboration with PSI, has inaugurated a three-day training program on Leadership and Management in Kismayo. The initiative aims to strengthen the leadership and administrative capacity of ministry staff, ensuring more effective service delivery.

The training was officially opened by Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, Director General of the Jubaland Ministry of Health. Also in attendance were Ismail Ali Mahmoud, Director of Health Services, and Abdirisak Jamus, Regional Health Coordinator for Lower Jubba.

In his opening remarks, the Director Genera emphasized that the training’s primary goal is to enhance leadership skills among staff, enabling them to perform their duties efficiently. He urged participants to take full advantage of the sessions, noting that improved leadership will drive tangible progress and better health outcomes.

This program forms part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services across Jubaland, with a particular focus on building strong leadership and management structures at all levels.
