The Ministry of Internal Security of the Jubbaland State Government officially launched a community dialogue forum today in Kismayo, spotlighting the role of women in the Jubbaland Police Force. The event marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to strengthen female participation in the region’s security institutions.
Organized by the Ministry of Internal Security, the forum brought together members of the Jubbaland Parliament’s Security Committee, police officials, women leaders, civil society organizations, and community representatives.
During the session, participants engaged in an open panel discussion exploring the contributions of women in law enforcement, the opportunities available to them, and the challenges hindering their advancement in the security sector.
The Ministry called on all segments of society and relevant institutions to support the inclusion of women in policing, emphasizing that their involvement is vital to enhancing public safety and building trust between communities and security forces.
