Jubbaland State security forces, alongside the elite Danab Commandos, today early morning carried out a large-scale, coordinated operation in Turdho and its surrounding areas along the banks of the Juba River.
The operation, which was meticulously planned, specifically targeted the hideouts of the Khawarij militants. According to military officials, the primary objective was to enhance the security of the region and eliminate locations used by the militants to orchestrate acts of insecurity.
Commanders on the ground reported that the operation successfully destroyed several hideouts where the desperate Khawarij militants had been sheltering. The officials emphasized that such operations will continue until the area is fully secured and all threats are neutralized.
