The Minister of Health and Social Care of Jubaland, Hon. Isma’il Ahmed Garas, officially launched the fourth round of the Catch-Up Vaccination Campaign today, targeting children who missed routine immunizations in recent years.

The campaign aims to increase the number of children under the age of five who receive essential vaccines that protect against life-threatening infectious diseases. The initiative kicked off simultaneously across all districts of Jubaland and will run for seven days.

During the launch event, Minister Garas urged all Somali parents and guardians in Jubaland to actively support the campaign by ensuring their children are vaccinated. He emphasized that immunization is a critical step in safeguarding children’s health and preventing the spread of dangerous diseases.

“We call on every parent to play their part in protecting our future generations. Vaccines save lives,” said the Minister.

The campaign is part of Jubaland’s broader commitment to strengthening public health and ensuring no child is left behind in the fight against preventable diseases.
