The Minister of Planning and Economic Development of the Jubbaland State Government, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, accompanied by the Ministry’s Director General and the Chairperson of the Jubbaland Civil Society Network, arrived today in Dhobley District for a high-level community engagement mission.
The delegation received a warm welcome at Dhobley Airport, where they were welcomed by the district commissioner and other local government officials.
The purpose of the Minister’s visit is to involve the people of Dhobley in shaping Jubbaland’s Five-Year Development Plan for 2025–2029. This initiative aims to ensure that the voices of local communities are reflected in the region’s future planning and development strategies.
This visit is part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to strengthen economic planning and enhance collaboration with civil society organizations.
During the tour, the Minister is expected to hold consultative meetings with district leaders and various community groups to gather insights and priorities directly from the grassroots.
