The National Intelligence and Security Agency has raided an Al-Shabaab arms depot in Heliwaa district in Mogadishu, arresting senior members of the Somali based terror militants and confiscating huge cache of deadly weapons.
The security operation was carried out by the National Intelligence Service (NISA) following tipoff from the public. The forces managed to capture three Al-Shabaab militia senior leaders.
During the intensive operation, the forces also managed to seize Al-Shabaab’s weapons depot which contained various types of deadly weapons used by the group to harm civilians.
NISA officials thanked the Somali public for their good cooperation with the security force and urged for such closer cooperation to destabilize the threat of the terror group.
