Huge explosions near the US Embassy in Kabul amid Taliban’s takeover of Kabul

Two bombs exploded near the US embassy and the presidential palace in Kabul today.

Witnesses reported that the explosions occurred shortly after gun shots rented the air. The witnesses also said that the fumes could be seen from where the blasts has occurred.

The casualties of the bombings and shootings in Kabul are unclear, as Taliban fighters took control of Kabul after Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled Kabul after the Taliban surrounded Kabul.
