Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and his delegation are expected to visit Kismayo, the capital of the Jubbaland state of Somalia.
A preliminary delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office arrived in Kismayo yesterday to prepare for his grand reception.
Kismayo, the capital of the lower Juba region of Somalia, has been the scene of a series of deadly clashes between government forces and Al shabab militants in the past but a relative peace is being enjoyed in the town following combined security efforts by contingents of security personnel.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble will hold talks with Jubbaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam, as well as visit the Jubbaland military bases.
The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia has previously visited Hir-Shabelle, Galmudug, South West & Puntland regionalstates, and is currently scheduled to visit Kismayo in the Jubbaland region.
