Kenyan government warns of three counties ravaged by drought due to poor rainfall. The government is working with the authorities to help families affected by the drought, according to Kenya’s Minister Ministry of Devolution and ASALs, Eugene Wamalwa.

Livestock belonging to pastoralist communities such as Marsabit, Turkana and Mandera counties, have died due to severe famine.

This has led to these areas being classified as high risk of drought. People and families affected by this devastating famine will be given money, and water trucks will be set up.

Minister Eugene Wamalwa added that all other autonomous regions should abide by the rules on climate change, to be able to fight the scourge of famine.
