The Jubbaland Ministry of Women’s Affairs has today celebrated the Female Genital Mutilation Day in Kismayo with the participation of the Director General of the Ministry of Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights.
The day is marked worldwide to create awareness on the female genital cut effects and restore dignity to the girl child.
The event has drawn various society members, community elders, government and ministry officials and youth in Kismayo.
