Somali national killed in South Africa

A somali national in South African man has been shot dead by gunmen at his shop in Bellvile neighbourhood.

Mohamud Mohamed Aden, a Somali national, was shot dead by gunmen inside his shop in Danoon, 21 km from Cape Town’s Bellville neighborhood.

The armed men took money and other items in the store before escaping.

Ali Deek Mohamed, a Somali living in South Africa said the deceased had been rescued by other Somali nationals living near his neighbourhood but later died of injuries he sustained in the attack.

He was taken to Tygerberg Hospital where he is scheduled to be buried today.

Hundreds of Somalis are killed in South Africa every year and the number of killings is said to increase by the end of each year with no one responding to the killings.
