Jubbaland’s Minister of Interior and Security, Major General Yusuf Hussein Osman Dhumal, alongside the Minister of Health, the Minister of Transport, the Deputy Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, today conducted an official inspection visit to Buulo Gaduud in Lower Jubba region.
The delegation’s visit focused on assessing rehabilitation and renovation works carried out at the military base jointly occupied by the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces and the 43rd Division of the Somali National Army (SNA).
During the inspection, the officials toured the facility and reviewed ongoing efforts to improve the camp’s infrastructure. The upgrades are aimed at enhancing the living and working conditions of personnel stationed at the base, while creating a more conducive environment for the effective discharge of their duties.
The delegation also evaluated the overall condition of the camp and identified key priorities for its continued development. Discussions highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces and the Somali National Army in maintaining security across the region.
Speaking during the visit, officials underscored the significance of investing in security infrastructure as part of broader efforts to enhance operational readiness and support frontline forces.
The Jubbaland Government continues to prioritize the development of security institutions and the improvement of facilities used by security forces, a commitment that forms part of its wider strategy to reinforce peace, security, and stability throughout Lower Jubba.
