Jubaland Cabinet Approves $60.9 Million Budget for 2027, Prioritizing Development and Fiscal Planning

The Jubaland Government Cabinet, chaired today by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Mohamed Yusuf Omar, approved the government’s 2027 budget, marking a key step in the administration’s financial planning for the coming year.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development presented a detailed budget report to the Cabinet, highlighting a 2.42% increase in domestic revenue. The total government budget for 2027 was approved at $60,886,783.86.

The 2027 budget places a strong emphasis on effective public financial management and the implementation of priority activities and programs planned for the year ahead.

The approved budget will serve as the foundation for revenue management, expenditure planning and control, and the delivery of development initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people of Jubaland.

Government officials noted that the budget reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening fiscal discipline, enhancing service delivery, and advancing key development priorities across the state.
