
The Minister of Interior Security of the Jubbaland State, Major General Yusuf Hussein Osman Dhuumaal, accompanied by the Commander of the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces, Brigadier General Ismail Sahardiid Keydsane, and the Director General of the Ministry of Interior Security, Hared Kilaas Abdi, conducted an official working visit to Janaay Abdalle area in the Lower Jubba region.
The delegation assessed the overall security situation in the area and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction of the strategic road linking Kismayo and Afmadow. The road is considered a vital infrastructure project expected to enhance mobility, improve access to essential services, and support economic and social development across the region.
During the visit, the Minister held consultations with brigade commanders and unit leaders of the Jubbaland Darawiish Forces stationed in Janaay Abdalle. Security officials briefed the delegation on the prevailing security conditions, ongoing security operations, and the operational environment surrounding the road construction project.
Addressing the officers and troops, Minister Dhuumaal commended their commitment and urged them to intensify efforts aimed at safeguarding public security and preventing threats to stability. He emphasized the importance of maintaining robust security measures along the Kismayo-Afmadow road corridor and around nearby construction sites to ensure the successful completion of the project.
The visit forms part of the Jubbaland Government’s broader efforts to strengthen security, facilitate safe movement for communities, and support the implementation of key development projects across Jubbaland.
Through continued collaboration between security institutions and development stakeholders, the government aims to create a safer and more conducive environment for growth and prosperity in the region.
