Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam on Saturday held a high-level meeting with the French Ambassador to Somalia and Kenya, Arnaud Suquet, to discuss key issues affecting Somalia’s security, stability, and development.
The discussions focused on security cooperation, counterterrorism efforts, and the overall political and security situation in Somalia, with both sides underscoring the importance of strengthening ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting lasting peace and stability across the country.
The meeting also explored ways to enhance social service delivery and humanitarian support, while emphasizing the need to accelerate international assistance to reinforce security institutions and support sustainable development initiatives in Somalia.
President Ahmed Mohamed Islam highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with international partners in addressing security challenges and advancing development priorities that directly benefit local communities.
The President was accompanied during the meeting by the Minister of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed.
The engagement reflects the growing partnership between Jubaland and international stakeholders in supporting peacebuilding, humanitarian response, and long-term development efforts in Somalia.
