The joint military operations against Al-Shabaab Khawaarij militants have entered their sixth consecutive day, as forces from the Jubbaland State and the Somali National Army intensify efforts in the Dhasheeg–Waamo areas of Lower Juba region.
The security operations, which involve coordinated ground assaults alongside aerial strikes, have inflicted significant losses on the militant group.
Military sources report that key bases and facilities used by the Al-Shabaab Khawaarij fighters to plan and launch attacks have been successfully destroyed.
The troops have also seized a cache of weapons and military supplies belonging to the militants, further weakening their capacity to carry out insurgent activities.
Commanders leading the operation emphasized that the campaign is ongoing and will continue until the Al-Shabaab Khawaarij elements are completely cleared from all areas across Jubbaland regional state of Somalia.
