The President of the Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, today officially concluded a training program for the elite “Duufaan” unit of the Jubaland Darawiish forces, marking another step in strengthening the region’s security apparatus.
Addressing the newly trained troops, President Ahmed Islam emphasized the importance of the comprehensive lessons they have received during the training, particularly those related to engagement with local communities. He highlighted that these skills must be clearly demonstrated in the areas they are set to liberate from hostile elements in the coming days.
The Jubbaland State President underscored that the success of military operations should not be measured solely in terms of security gains. Instead, he stressed that winning the trust and support of civilians is equally critical.
“Lasting stability is built not only through force, but through the confidence and cooperation of the people you serve,” he noted.
President Ahmed Islam commended the soldiers for their dedication and discipline throughout the training period, praising their commitment to enhancing their professional capabilities.
He encouraged them to faithfully fulfill the national duties entrusted to them and to play a decisive role in ongoing efforts to liberate and secure communities across Jubaland.
The completion of this training is expected to bolster operational effectiveness, as the Darawiish forces continue to intensify efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region.
