The Jubbaland Medical Association held its official elections today in Kismayo, at Hotel Agan, where new leadership was chosen to guide the work of medical professionals across the region.
The well-organized election saw Dr. Abdirizak Mohamed Cabdi (Gaaxnuug) contest for the position of Chairperson, alongside the election of a Deputy Chairperson and Secretary General for the association.
The event was attended by various officials from Jubbaland government institutions, representatives of civil society, and members of the health sector, all of whom praised the smooth conduct of the elections and the unity demonstrated by medical professionals in Jubbaland.
Speakers at the event emphasized that the newly elected leadership is expected to play a significant role in improving healthcare services, strengthening coordination among doctors, and ensuring the quality of medical services delivered to the public.
