Border Security Boost: Jubaland Police Chief Meets Kenyan Peacekeeping Commander in Dhobley district

The Commander of the Lower Jubba Regional Police Force, Sadiiq Mohamud Dhogor, today held a strategic meeting with the Kenyan peacekeeping contingent’s commander stationed in Dhobley, Lt. Col. Ochodo.

The discussions focused on enhancing security along the shared Jubaland–Kenya border, with both sides emphasizing the need for closer cooperation in ongoing operations against Al‑Shabaab. The leaders highlighted the importance of joint efforts to ensure stability, safe movement, and coordinated responses to security threats in the border zone.

Also present at the meeting were the newly appointed Commander of the Dhobley district police Station, Lt. Col. Abddikadir Hassan Abdi, and Lt. Col. Abdikaafi Korane Mohamud, who both reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cross-border collaboration.

The two sides made mutual agreements to continue unified security strategies aimed at safeguarding both communities.
