
The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Jubaland, Aydiid Suleiman Hashi, on Saturday chaired the Ministry’s annual meeting, bringing together senior officials and staff to assess progress made over the past year and set priorities for 2026.
The session was attended by the Ministry’s Director General, departmental directors, and technical staff. Discussions centered on the achievements recorded during the closing year, areas where performance fell short, and the key challenges that require strategic solutions to prevent recurrence.
Throughout the meeting, participants reviewed the Ministry’s preparedness for the upcoming year, 2026, focusing on aligning efforts toward achieving planned environmental and climate resilience goals. Minister Hashi outlined the Ministry’s priority tasks for the new year and highlighted the need for proper sequencing and execution of activities.
Staff and officials, in turn, expressed their readiness to implement the Ministry’s priority programs and contribute effectively to the overall mission in the year ahead.
The minister urged all Ministry personnel to dedicate themselves to meeting the institution’s targets—particularly efforts aimed at expanding green initiatives across Jubaland, mitigating climate change impacts, and strengthening environmental protection. He emphasized that achieving these goals will require commitment, teamwork, and timely execution.
