The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of Jubbaland, Mohamed Ibrahim Ogle, today officially inaugurated the Local Government Coordination Forum in Kismayo. This quarterly forum serves as a vital platform for aligning efforts among local administrations and strengthening governance across Jubbaland.
The meeting focused on exploring opportunities and addressing challenges faced by local governments, enhancing collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and its partners, and improving the quality of public services delivered to communities in Jubbaland.
Present at the event were the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Abdiwahid Mohamed Daqane, officials from Kismayo District Administration, representatives from Lower Jubba Regional Authority, staff from various Jubbaland ministries, and development agencies operating in the region.
In his opening remarks, Minister Ogle emphasized that the forum is crucial for coordinating local government activities, sharing experiences, and jointly tackling existing obstacles. He underscored the importance of effective cooperation, accountability, transparency, and community participation as key pillars for achieving sustainable development in Jubbaland.
