Jubbaland First Vice President Hosts Somali Lawmakers and Elders in Doolow Peace Talks

The First Vice President of Jubbaland State, Mohamud Sayid Aden, today welcomed Somali Members of Parliament, a former minister and traditional leader Ugaas Hassan Abdi Mohamed in Doolow District.

The delegation arrived to participate in a major reconciliation meeting aimed at ending recent clan conflicts in Luuq district, Gedo Region. The leaders expressed gratitude to the District Commissioner of Doolow, Mohamed Hussein Abdi Lafeey for his historic role in fostering peace and stability in the area.

During the meeting, the First Vice President urged all stakeholders to embrace dialogue, compromise, and cooperation to achieve a lasting solution that serves the interests of local communities and the wider Jubbaland region.

The session was also attended by the former head of the National Intelligence Agency, General Jamal Hassan and politician Ahmed Hussein.
