
In a significant step towards enhancing youth development and community integration, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of Jubbaland, Mohamed Ibrahim Ogle, chaired a high-level meeting focused on the completion of the new football stadium in Raas Kaambooni.
The stadium, currently under construction in the coastal town of Raas Kaambooni, is part of the Jubbaland Stabilization Program spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior. This initiative aims to bolster community infrastructure, promote peace, and foster social cohesion through inclusive development projects.
The meeting, held today under the leadership of Minister Ogle, brought together key stakeholders including the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, the Head of Stabilization at the Ministry, and representatives from the NIS Foundation — a key development partner supporting Jubbaland’s reconstruction efforts.
During the session, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the challenges hindering the timely completion of the stadium. They also agreed on a set of actionable steps to accelerate the project’s progress, ensuring the facility becomes a vibrant hub for youth engagement and community activities.
Minister Ogle emphasized the importance of the stadium in promoting sports, peacebuilding, and social integration in Raas Kaambooni. All attendees pledged to intensify their efforts to ensure the stadium is completed to modern standards and serves as a beacon of hope and unity for the local population.
