In a swift and coordinated operation, Jubbaland security forces, alongside elite Danab commandos, have overrun several terrorist hideouts in areas under Jamaame district, Lower Jubba region—specifically targeting the village of Turdho, where Al-Shabaab militants had been digging underground bunkers.
During the operation, a number of militants were killed, including a senior Al-Shabaab commander. The forces successfully dismantled the militants’ defensive positions, further weakening their presence in the region.
Security officials confirm that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate extremist threats and restore stability to Lower Jubba. The forces remain vigilant, continuing their pursuit of any remaining militants in the area.
