The President of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has today presided over the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, where a raft of key national issues were discussed.
A major focus of the session was the security situation in the Gedo region and the ongoing military aggression allegedly orchestrated by the administration of Somalia president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Jubbaland territories. The Council strongly condemned the incursion and reaffirmed its commitment to defending the region’s sovereignty and stability.
In a significant development, the Cabinet also approved a new Transport and Civil Aviation Act, presented by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation. The legislation aims to modernize and regulate air and ground transportation systems across Jubbaland regional state, enhancing safety, efficiency and oversight.
