The Ministry of Planning, Investment, and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Jubbaland Refugees and IDPs Agency, has successfully launched a durable housing initiative for displaced families, delivering 250 permanent homes.
In a ceremony held today, officials inaugurated the first phase of the resettlement, handing over homes to 70 vulnerable internally displaced families. The new housing units are located in Luglow, northern Kismayo Corridor.
The event was attended by senior Jubbaland government officials and representatives from international humanitarian organizations. The initiative marks a significant step toward providing long-term shelter solutions for displaced communities and improving their living conditions.
