This strategic initiative, which was witnessed by the Minister for Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights of Jubbaland state, Adar Ismael, aims to ensure the meaningful participation of women in the upcoming local government elections, with a special focus on advocating for the 30% quota for women.
The process of developing the roadmap involves extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including civil society organizations, women’s groups, political parties, and electoral institutions.
The Jubbaland Minister for Women’s Affairs stated that she is committed to creating a framework that addresses systemic barriers to women’s political participation, and promotes an inclusive electoral environment.
