The Ministry of Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights of Jubaland state is making significant efforts to advance and empower women and their participation in good governance, having initiated the development of a comprehensive electoral process roadmap for the realization of the 30% quota.

This strategic initiative, which was witnessed by the Minister for Women, Family Affairs and Human Rights of Jubbaland state, Adar Ismael, aims to ensure the meaningful participation of women in the upcoming local government elections, with a special focus on advocating for the 30% quota for women.

The process of developing the roadmap involves extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including civil society organizations, women’s groups, political parties, and electoral institutions.
