Puntland’s military court sentenced ten men to death today for being members of the Al-Shabaab group.
Two of the accused, Adde Abdullahi Mohamed Ilmi and Abdiqani Saleeman Jama Saylor, were convicted of the murder of freelance radio journalist Jamal Farah Adan in Galka’ayo. Both men received the death sentence after exhausting all appeal options.
The ten men who were convicted by Puntland military court were found to be members of Al Shabaab who carried out killings in Galka’ayo.
Earlier this month when Puntland executed 19 men of the Al-Shabaab group, who were convicted of committing murders and explosions in Bosaso and Galka’ayo.
The condemned men were identified as:

5. Farhan Faisal Salad Hirsi
6. Abdullahi Faisal Hussein

8. Liban Aden Muse
9. Abdiqani Farhan Abdullahi
10. Abdirahman Awil Mohamed.
