Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud traveled to Egypt on Sunday to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The President will hold talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdulfatah Al-Sisi, on economic and diplomatic cooperation, fighting terrorism and restoring the role of the Egyptian government in the development of education in Somalia.
Mohamud, who was a special guest at the East African Community (EAC) summit in Arusha, Tanzania, returned home on Saturday.
Since he was elected President on May 15, he has travelled abroad seven times. He visited the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Eritrea, Kenya and Djibouti while the Prime Minister had not yet formed the cabinet.
