The Jubbaland Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management started a three-day training on drought preparedness and best ways to combat other natural disasters.
The training was attended by Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Relief and Disaster Management, Farah Muqtar Daud, Jubbaland Ministry of Relief Director Abdirashid Omar Faratoon, National Adviser, National Emergency Management Agency head, Mohamed Hirsi Muse, State Rescue Committee, Women’s Union, Civil Society, local community and people with special needs.
The training exercise was to train the participants on how to prevent disasters and how to find a society that can adapt to emerging issues including the current drought plaguing the Jubbaland state and the country as a whole.
The Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Relief and Disaster Management, Farah Muqtar Daud officiated the training.
The training Participants are required to take an active part in the training and benefit the community on the best ways they can adapt to drought changes and combat other natural disasters.
