Puntland Minister for Security, Abdisamad Mohamed Gallan has today chaired a high-level security meeting on strengthening security in Puntland regional state of Somalia which was attended by top ranking security officials.
The security meeting largely focused on strengthening security in the Puntland capital of Garowe. Garowe City Security Committee recently appointed by the President of Puntland state also took part in the meeting.
The Minister for Security of the Puntland State of Somalia, Abdisamad Mohamed Gallan, has instructed military and security agents to intensify security operations in Garowe, one of the places for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The security meeting issued resolutions to strengthen security in the capital of Puntland and in Puntland state in general.
The meeting was attended by the President’s Security Adviser, the Commander of the Puntland Defense Forces, the Puntland Police Chief, the Nugal Regional Police Commander, the Nugal Regional Governor and the Mayor of Garowe.
