New cases of Corona Virus has been reported in Mogadishu

The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Health said in a daily report on Corona virus data that 63 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the past 48 hours, with 10 deaths and 34 cases cured.

The Minister for Health and Social Welfare of the Federal Government of Somalia, Ms. Fowziya Abikar Nur, confirmed that new cases have been reported in Banadir (50), Puntland (9), Galmudug (3) and Hirshabelle (1) regions, with 32 confirmed patients being male, while 31 are female

The number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country reached 15,788, and 7,729 people were cured. A total of 847 people died from the disease.

Ms. Fowziya Abikar Nur called on the community to take the advice of health professionals and other public awareness campaigns on the dangers of the disease, as the risk of COVID-19 has redoubled.

She called on everyone to be vigilant and getting vaccinated against the disease.
