Puntland launches new security plan to rid the region of Al-Shabaab menaceThe commander of Puntland’s Mudug region’s central Police station, Colonel Adan Nur Qaal, who spoke at a press conference in Galkayo said the ongoing Al-Shabaab operations in Mudug region, in collaboration with the national security forces, Galmudug and Puntland regional governments is massive and will go on.
The commander called on the Somali community, especially the people of Puntland to play their critical part in the large-scale campaign against Al-Qaeda affilaited- Al-Shabaab terror group which he said has begun to implement new initiatives.
Commander Adan Nur appealed to the Somali people to stand by the national and regional forces in the fight against Al-Shabaab which is threatening the peace of the region.
