
The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Jubbaland State has today officially launched the Ugbaaad project, which is aimed at improving agricultural production and creating an advanced system of farming to enhance productivity.
The project which is backed by international organizations is set to significantly change the farming practices in the Jubbaland State.
The special meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of Jubaland State, Geelle Muxumad Adan, the
Director General of the Ministry,
Representatives of international organizations and officials from the ministry.
The Ugbaaad project is expected to contribute significantly to increasing agricultural production as farmers will receive technical and financial support.
The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Jubbaland State said that this project is effective in reducing the impact of climate change on agriculture and will lead to sustainable development.
This project will focus on improving irrigation systems and increasing productivity which will help reduce hunger and boost the local economy.
