National electoral consultative forum enters its third day with hope in sight



The Electoral Consultative Forum between the Heads of regional States and Government of Somalia and the Governor of Benadir Region has entered its third day.

The conference debates on conflict resolution points to the upcoming elections and substantial progress has been made so far according to close sources.

Today the discussion continues on the agenda for the poll matters in the country with officials meeting at the Aficioni Tent to discuss the terms of the September 17th agreement in Mogadishu and Baidoa and also discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Northern Regions as well as discuss the Gedo region issue.

According to reports, today’s meeting will be a sensitive one, with the possibility of concluding and issuing a communiqué on the agreement reached and the start of the election process.
