Outgoing Somali president held a private meeting with a host of regional state leaders in Villa Somalia last night


The outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, his premier and some heads of state held a private meeting at the Presidential Palace, Villa Somalia last night.

The meeting was attended by the Presidents of Galmudug regional state, South West, Hir Shabelle and the Governor of Banadir.

NISA Commander Fahad Yassin, later joined the meeting at the Villa Somalia. He is believed to be heavily involved in politics.

Close sources privy to the meeting confirmed the talks centered heavily on the contentious Somali poll.

The private meeting at the Villa Somalia comes amid heightened expectations on today’s Aficcioni camp conference by the Somali leaders to chart the way forward for the country and end the impasse still surrounding the Somali poll.
