Members of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Somalia is today expected to have an extraordinary general meeting to discuss a raft of issues.
According to reports, 15 new ambassadors will be presented to the Somali cabinet today for approval or rejection.
Last week, 12 ambassadors were presented to the Somali cabinet, but were rejected after some ministers said the new ambassadors did not comply with the 4.5 power-sharing formula.
The sources added that some of the newly appointed ambassadors came from some states, following secret talks between government officials and the states.
The appointment of the ambassadors comes at a time when there is still no consensus on the timing of the election which is said to ease the political pressure on President Farmajo’s government.
