Somali Foreign Affairs Minister Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud said that when they arrived in Djibouti they were ready to present the truth of the allegations against the Kenyan government.

He said the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) leaders had put pressure on the issue to be resolved in a non-negotiable manner as well as to set up a special committee.

The Minister also expressed optimism that relations with the Federal Government of Somalia would be restored.

“A lot of people may be worried that Somalia and Kenya have a bad relationship but know that Kenya and Somalia are two neighboring countries, they have a very long relationship and many Somalis and Kenyans will benefit. Kenya and Somalia must re-establish their relationship at the right time and in the best possible way,” Said Abdirizak Mohamud.
