Jubbaland state President Ahmed Mohamed Islam who is currently in Garowe in the autonomous regional state of Puntland met with a host of political Members of Parliament drawn from both the two houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia as well as other prominent figures in Somalia.

A close source privy to the discussions of the key meeting revealed that the meeting agenda largely centered on finding amicable solutions to the political tussle and dispute that raged on in the aftermath of President Ahmed Islam’s re-election into office that created a political disharmony between the Jubbaland state head and the Federal Republic of Somalia.

One of the Ministers present during the meeting was the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Transport and Aviation Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Salat Omar who worked to ease the political tension and differences between the Jubbaland President and the ministry of Justice and constitution affairs.

The Transport and Aviation Minister posted on his social media facebook page saying he met with the Jubbaland State President Ahmed Islam in Garowe adding that the political tension was still rife between the two.

Still no official reports emerged from the key meeting between Ahmed Mohamed Islam and the Somalia’s Federal government lawmakers and the Somalia’s prominent figures but reports indicate that there would be high level meetings in the Central city of Dhusamareeb, in the Galmudug regional state of Somalia in the coming days that would bring together the Somalia Federal Government heads and its Regional heads in Dhusamareeb to thrash out prominent issues as well as forging a common goal towards Somalia’s prosperity and future developments.
