The Director General of the Jubbaland Ministry of Interior Security, Hared Kilaas Abdi, officially closed a capacity-building workshop focused on International Law and the importance of its understanding and application among security personnel.
The training brought together officers from the Jubbaland Police Force, alongside other distinguished participants, and aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of international legal frameworks relevant to their professional responsibilities.
The workshop sought to strengthen the capacity of security officers by improving their awareness of international legal standards, supporting professional conduct, effective service delivery, and the promotion and protection of human rights.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the DG underscored the importance of continuous professional development and institutional capacity strengthening within the security sector. He emphasized that ongoing training initiatives are essential for building a well-equipped, knowledgeable, and highly skilled security workforce capable of effectively carrying out its duties in line with legal and professional standards.
