The Speaker of the Jubbaland Parliament, Sheikh Abdi Abdirahman, together with the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Mohamed Ibrahim Oogle, today officially inaugurated the newly established headquarters of the Ministry of Interior in Kismayo.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by members of the Jubaland Council of Ministers, members of the Jubbaland parliament, traditional elders, community leaders, and other distinguished guests.
Following the inauguration, the Jubbaland parliament speaker toured several departments within the Ministry, where he received briefings from ministry officials and staff on ongoing operations, service delivery, and the functions carried out across the various offices.
The visit provided an opportunity to review the ministry’s progress and gain first-hand insight into its day-to-day activities.
The event concluded with a formal ceremony held in the Ministry’s conference hall, bringing together government officials, stakeholders, and invited guests to mark the opening of the new facility.
The establishment of the new headquarters is expected to enhance the Ministry’s operational capacity and strengthen its role in serving the people of Jubaland.
