The Commander of the Jubaland Darawiish Forces, Brigadier General Ismail Sahardiid Keydsane, conducted an inspection visit to the strategic road linking Kismayo and Afmadow, where he assessed frontline military positions and reviewed the operational readiness of troops deployed in the area.
During the visit, the commander held meetings with military officers and personnel stationed along the corridor, receiving comprehensive briefings on the prevailing security situation, troop preparedness, and ongoing operations targeting Al-Shabaab militants.
Brig. Gen. Sahardid commended the forces for their commitment and vigilance in safeguarding the region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a high state of readiness to counter security threats and ensure the protection of local communities.
The inspection forms part of the Jubaland Darawiish Command’s broader efforts to strengthen security, enhance coordination among security forces, and maintain stability in communities located along the vital Kismayo–Afmadow corridor, a key route for both security operations and civilian movement in the region.
