Federal MP Hassan Abdi Ismail Inspects Health Services and Ongoing Expansion Projects in Kismayo

Federal Member of Parliament Hassan Abdi Ismail, representing the people of Jubaland in the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, today conducted an inspection visit to Kismayo General Hospital and Badbaado Hospital to assess healthcare services and ongoing development efforts.

The MP was accompanied by the Director of Administration and Finance at the Jubaland Ministry of Health, Mohamed Abdikadir, as well as a member of the Jubaland diaspora in the United States, Nuur Ali Abshir.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the quality and availability of healthcare services being provided at both hospitals, engaging with health officials and observing the facilities’ operational capacity.
The officials also toured the newly constructed buildings being added to Kismayo General Hospital, which are currently in the final stages of completion.

The expansion project is expected to enhance the hospital’s capacity and improve access to healthcare services for residents of Kismayo and the wider Jubaland region.

Speaking during the visit, the delegation emphasized the importance of strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that medical facilities are adequately equipped to meet the growing needs of the community.
The inspection reflects ongoing efforts by government leaders and stakeholders to support the development of the healthcare sector and improve public service delivery across Jubaland.
