The First Vice President of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Mohamud Sayid Aden, undertook a ground inspection tour along the key road connecting the districts of Luuq and Doolow in the Gedo region, aiming to assess security conditions and engage directly with local communities.
During the visit, the Vice President reviewed the overall security situation and conditions in the areas along the route. He held meetings with district administrations, traditional elders, and various segments of society to discuss challenges facing local communities and opportunities for strengthening stability and development.
The tour also focused on accelerating ongoing reconciliation and stabilization initiatives across the Gedo region.
Discussions included an assessment of critical public service needs, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, healthcare, and water services, which remain essential for improving livelihoods and supporting long-term development.
Addressing residents during the visit, the Vice President urged communities to strengthen unity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence as fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable progress and lasting stability.
He reaffirmed Jubaland’s commitment to advancing security, fostering reconciliation, and expanding development efforts throughout the Gedo region.
The Vice President emphasized that the Jubaland Government will continue working closely with local stakeholders to enhance peace, improve public services, and promote inclusive development for the benefit of all communities in Gedo.
