Various units of the Jubbaland State Security Forces and the Somali National Army’s elite Danab Commandos carried out planned military operations against Khawarij militants in the areas of Makubuno, Kabisa, Madax-Baabuurka, Lafa-gari, Xabala Afwaax, Weelmaarow, and other locations in the Lower Jubba region.
The operations were carefully coordinated and targeted militant hideouts and positions used by the Al-Shabaab Khawarij group.
Security forces entered areas that had been used as shelters by the militants, destroying facilities and bases utilized for planning, storing equipment, and coordinating their activities.
Military officers leading the operation stated that the objective of these missions is to maintain pressure on the Khawarij militants, remove them from their hiding places, and strengthen security for local communities.
The officers also emphasized that similar operations will continue until the threat posed by the Al-Shabaab Khawarij militants in the Lower Jubba region is completely eliminated.
