
The Grade 8 national examinations for the 2025/2026 academic year officially commenced today in Elwak District, located in Somalia’s Gedo region.
The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy district commissioner of Elwak and the district education officer, who jointly officiated the exams and extended their best wishes to the students.
The officials encouraged the candidates to remain confident and perform to the best of their abilities.
In their remarks, the leaders urged students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their years of study. They emphasized the importance of discipline, focus, and integrity during the examination period.
The officials also expressed appreciation to teachers and parents for their vital role in preparing the students for this important milestone. They noted that the collaborative efforts of educators and families have been instrumental in shaping the students’ academic journey.
