The Ministry of Planning, Investment, and International Cooperation of the Jubaland State today convened a high-level Validation Workshop to endorse the Jubaland Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework, a key instrument designed to strengthen governance and development oversight.
The meeting was officially opened by the Minister of Planning, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, and brought together representatives from all Jubaland government institutions alongside members of civil society organizations. The broad participation underscored the inclusive approach being taken to refine and adopt the framework.
The primary objective of the workshop was to review and formally approve the M&E Framework, which is expected to play a critical role in enhancing the tracking of progress, evaluation of outcomes, and accountability mechanisms across government programs. It also aims to improve transparency and ensure that development initiatives are effectively implemented throughout Jubaland.
Officials highlighted that the framework will serve as a central tool for monitoring government performance and assessing the impact of development projects implemented across the region. By standardizing data collection and reporting systems, the framework is set to support evidence-based decision-making and strengthen coordination among institutions.
Participants engaged in detailed discussions and provided feedback to ensure the framework aligns with Jubaland’s development priorities and the needs of its communities. Once fully adopted, the M&E Framework is expected to significantly contribute to better planning, improved service delivery, and stronger accountability within the state.
The initiative marks an important step forward in Jubaland’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development, reinforcing efforts to ensure that public resources deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
