Afmadow District Youth Association in Lower Jubba, in collaboration with Hygiene and Sanitation Chairman, Abdi Ali Harbi, has launched a large-scale clean-up campaign targeting the town’s main market and other key public areas.
The initiative, organized by the youth association, aims to promote environmental cleanliness and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the city. Acting on their own commitment, the youth also engaged the wider community, raising awareness about the dangers of littering—particularly in crowded areas—since waste is a major cause of infectious diseases.
Youth are the backbone of society and a symbol of unity and progress. This campaign reflects the positive role they play in driving development and fostering a healthier, cleaner environment for all.
